ABOUT PACIFIC WATSU AND BODYWORKS FOR WOMEN



PWBWS is facilitated by Adrianna who has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1990, Or. #3205 and a Licensed Watsu Practitioner since 2007. Over the past twenty years, she has specialized in Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Watsu, Hot Stone, TMJ massage and CranioSacral work. Her practice is in Lincoln County Oregon.


Massage


Massage improves the circulation of the body and eases muscular pain and stiffness. It also can assist in stress relief, head aches and muscular restrictions.



Massage-Pregnancy: Pregnancy massage can help relieve the discomforts of the constantly changing mother’s body. It can assist to relieve back pain, tired legs, swollen ankles and fatigue. Pregnancy body cushions are used to provide the mother to be with comfort and support.

Watsu

With gentle stretching, massage and movement, the body is invited to realign, relax and release in a safe and gentle way. Watsu is performed in a 95-97 degree saline pool. Some of the benefits can be increased flexibility, reduction of pain, stress relief and increased circulation. Watsu also aids in fluid movement and lengthening of the spine promoting renewed awareness of body, mind and spirit. These sessions include: Massage, Watsu©, Aquatic Integration™ and CranioSacral.

Watsu~Pregnancy: Water sessions can give a mother relief from leg cramps, sciatica, headaches, hip and low back pain. It can also assist with sleep deprivation due to discomfort and overall tension. It is best to start after the first trimester and always with the consent of your physician.

Hot Stones





Hot Stones: Smooth rounded basalt stones are heated and used to deliver penetrating heat to tight and sore muscles. This treatment increases circulation and is very relaxing. You can have a full hot stone session or combine stones with your massage.

CranioSacral



A session involves the practitioner gently working with the skull, spine, diaphragms, sacrum and fascia to assist the patient to open up restrictions in the body and to optimize the flow of the spinal fluid throughout its system.

TMJ


Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction: TMJ/TMD can be caused by a variety of medical conditions, trauma, wear and tear from grinding and clenching of the jaw as well as stress. Symptoms can range from facial and neck pain to limitations in jaw movement, head aches and popping of the temporomadibular (jaw) joints. The sessions include massage and trigger point work to the upper back, shoulders, neck, face and jaw.
